These SMS Terms govern text messages sent by or through Hostie AI, Inc. ("Hostie," "we," "us," or "our"). They supplement our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Hostie SMS
Hostie sends text messages in two ways:
1. Guest messages. Restaurants use Hostie's AI assistant to text guests who call or text the restaurant. These messages may include replies to your texts, reservation or order confirmations, reminders, updates or cancellations, and links or information related to your inquiry. Guest messages are automated and generated by artificial intelligence on behalf of the restaurant you contacted.
2. Customer and business messages. Hostie texts restaurant owners, operators, and staff who use or are evaluating our Service. These messages may include call summaries, account and service notifications, and demo scheduling. Product updates and promotional messages are only sent if you separately opt in to receive them.
How to opt in
Guests opt in by texting a restaurant's Hostie-powered number / agreeing to receive texts during a call with a restaurant's AI assistant. Restaurant customers and business contacts opt in by interacting with a Hostie-powered demo, submitting a signup form and checking the SMS consent box, or providing a mobile number during account onboarding. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your conversation with the restaurant or your account activity.
CostsMessage and data rates may apply.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts from that number. Reply START to opt back in.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at help@hostie.ai.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
