The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone to help build and grow Hostie’s community and bring the brand to life, both on social media and in the real world. You’ll create and post content consistently and help grow our channels, focusing on what restaurant owners and operators actually care about. This role is as much about listening and engaging as it is about creating. You’ll be close to the conversations happening across the industry and help translate them into content that feels relevant and real.
You’ll manage Hostie’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, while helping launch and grow new community spaces for operators. You’ll also play a key role in our events, from planning and showing up on the ground to capturing content and turning those moments into ongoing community.
What You’ll Own
Social Media
- Own day-to-day social across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Create and publish content that speaks to restaurant owners and operators
- Engage directly with comments, DMs, and conversations
- Spot trends and opportunities worth acting on
- Help translate product updates and customer stories into social content
Community
- Help launch and grow Hostie’s presence on platforms like Reddit
- Participate in and moderate conversations with operators
- Support repeatable formats (AMAs, operator spotlights, discussions)
- Monitor and support review platforms like G2 and TrustPilot
Events & Field Content
- Support planning and execution of events
- Travel to customer visits and industry events
- Capture content in the field (video, interviews, real moments)
- Turn event interactions into ongoing content and community
Required Experience
- 2-4 years in social media or community marketing
- Experience in restaurant tech, hospitality, or a closely related space
- Strong understanding of restaurant owners and operators
- Comfortable creating video content and being on camera
- Willing to travel for events and customer visits
- Good instincts for what feels authentic vs. overly promotional
- Ability to move quickly, be scrappy, and think creatively
