Overview
Hostie is your restaurant’s Virtual Concierge, making sure every call, text, or question gets answered in your voice. Behind the scenes, we handle guest communication, reservations, events, and takeout automatically, all in one place. Hostie takes care of the noise so your staff can focus on the service.
Restaurants across North America use Hostie to ensure no guest goes unanswered while giving their teams more time to focus on hospitality.
Hostie integrates with platforms like OpenTable, Toast, and SevenRooms and is backed by Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI fund), Obvious Ventures (founded by Ev Williams), and leading hospitality investors.
The Role
At Hostie, we’ve built the Virtual Concierge: an AI-driven platform that handles the "noise" of restaurant communication so staff can focus on the floor.
As our GTM Engineer, you are the architect behind the systems that power Hostie’s mission. You sit at the intersection of hospitality-focused technology and revenue strategy, building the infrastructure that helps restaurants thrive and ensures every guest connection is captured.
This isn't just about reporting on the past; it’s about building the future of how restaurants operate. You will design the sophisticated logic and ship the automations that empower our teams to provide world-class support to our partners. Your goal is to create radical efficiency by building a technical infrastructure as seamless and intuitive as our Virtual Concierge. We’re looking for a builder who is technical, scrappy, and obsessed with turning data into hospitality wins.
What You’ll Do
- Architect the Motion: Design and implement end-to-end GTM systems from lead ingestion to automated "Revenue Leakage" reporting, ensuring rigorous pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy.
- Systems Integration: Own the logic and connectivity between our GTM stack (Hubspot, Apollo, etc.) and our proprietary AI data to ensure a seamless "Single Source of Truth."
- Automate Growth: Build the automated workflows that allow our AEs to move at light speed. You’ll be responsible for the "pipes" that trigger the right message to the right restaurant at the right time.
- Planning & Strategy: Provide the technical framework for GTM planning and analytics, including the systems used to manage pricing models and sales compensation structures.
- Analytics & Insight: Create the dashboards and ROI calculators that prove Hostie’s value to CFOs, focusing on captured covers, private event revenue, and takeout volume.
The Impact You’ll Have
- Onboarding & Enablement: Build the tools and automated paths for GTM onboarding and enablement, reducing ramp time for new hires and ensuring the team is equipped to win.
- Personalization at Scale: Develop automated, AI-driven workflows that allow our outreach to feel as personal and hospitable as a table-side greeting.
- Market Expansion: Act as the technical lead for expansion into new territories, partnerships, and event-based growth motions.
- Revenue Integrity: Utilize APIs and deep enrichment to score and qualify leads, ensuring our team is always focused on the restaurants that need Hostie most.
- Internal Innovation: Create the specialized views and tools that remove "administrative noise," allowing our sales and success teams to stay focused on the restaurants.
- Operational Health: Own the technical health of our lead-to-revenue pipeline, ensuring total data integrity across every stage of the partnership.
Who You Are
- Technical Builder: You have 3+ years of experience in RevOps, GTM Engineering, or Sales Ops. You are as comfortable exploring AI-native tools as you are with complex CRM workflows.
- Hospitality Minded: You have a genuine passion for the restaurant industry. You understand that behind every data point is a GM trying to run a smoother shift.
- Systems Obsessed: You think in terms of scale. You’ve ideally seen the journey from $1M to $10M+ ARR and know how to build a tech stack that doesn't break under pressure.
- Deep Integrator: You understand the complexity of the restaurant tech ecosystem (POS, Reservations, Event Management) and enjoy the challenge of making disparate systems work as one.
The Hostie Difference
While others sell "automation," Hostie sells Hospitality. We are obsessed with the guest experience and protecting the soul of the restaurant. We move fast, we are deeply technical, and we are building the future of how the world interacts with their favorite spots.
