Background

For over twenty years, Burma Food Group has committed themselves to bringing delicious, high-quality Burmese food to San Francisco and beyond. Starting in 1992 with Burma Superstar, they have since expanded to seven locations across the Bay Area.

When opening their newest location, Teakwood, in 2023, the team began noticing some issues with their phone system. During lunch and dinner services, answering the phone fell to whoever was available—whether a server, busser, or host—pulling staff away from the floor. Between services and after-hours, missed calls became increasingly common. Suspecting many of these calls were about reservations, Operations Manager Chris Tan began searching for a way to eliminate missed calls.
