Who we are

We're a team of restaurant owners, operators, hospitality partners, product designers, and AI engineers, who know the challenges of running a service-driven business—because we've done it ourselves.

Backed by Gradient Ventures (Google’s AI fund) and Burst Capital (founded by former Yelp execs), and advised by former OpenTable executives, we've partnered with some of the most respected restaurants to create Hostie, the Virtual Concierge for independent restaurants and hospitality groups. We make sure that hospitality never goes unanswered.

Story

While running Back to Back in San Francisco, Randall was buried in calls, texts, and emails—pulled away from the work that actually grows a restaurant. He called his longtime friend Brendan, an AI engineer at Lindy.ai. Together, they decided to solve the problem for good—and Hostie was born.
